Captain Chris is a New York State licensed outdoor guide (License No. 1380) and a United States Coast Guard Captain. He is also an author and lecturer on Striped Bass fishing in the Hudson River.

Captain Chris is an instructor for the Sports Fishing and Aquatic Resource Education Program (SAREP) through Cornell Cooperative Extension and is listed on 'Pure Fishing' Best of the Best Charter & Guide Services. He is a New York State Hunter Safety Instructor, providing instruction on safe handling of weapons for hunting with firearms, bows and in trapping.

Captain Chris is also President of the Hudson River Charter Boat Association, a Critical Care Registered Nurse. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and is a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI).
