I have mixed bags of red and chartreuse, 100 in a bag for 5.00$ I've started to use red for clear water and chartreuse for dingy/muddy water. What's great about this method is that you can reel in the bait, remove the hook put the fish in the bait tank and go to the next spot. This saves herring and helps keep the fishery healthier with more herring left to breed thus increasing an already pressured population of baitfish.
